Ashley Jones

Founder and CEO, Momento Foundation

Ashley Jones is the founder and CEO of Momento Foundation (previously known as Love Not Lost), a nonprofit organization helping people heal in grief. The organization’s foundational program provides portrait sessions to families facing a terminal diagnosis and donates photographs as keepsakes.

Ashley’s daughter, Skylar, was diagnosed with a terminal genetic condition called spinal muscular atrophy at just two months old. Her family was gifted a portrait session to preserve memories, and after Skylar’s death at 21 months old, Ashley wanted to give that gift to others. With her background in photography and design, she volunteered portrait sessions to families with loved ones facing a terminal diagnosis of any kind. Each session inspired the next, and before long, Love Not Lost was born.

Over time, their programs have expanded to provide individuals and companies with tools and knowledge to overcome fear when supporting others facing loss, and a safe place for learning and connection through their online community.

Ashley has dedicated her career to bring healing to people who are hurting. She loves creating innovative tools, new resources designed with empathy and intention, and helpful solutions in grief to support individuals and companies nationwide.

Her mission is to change the way we look at loss and suffering so that we can experience healing in grief and love people better. Her book, titled When You Can't See The Light, is written specifically for those who have experienced a recent loss. For those struggling with grief brain, it can be read as a daily survival guide, offering content in digestible, helpful, and practical steps. It will also set realistic expectations on the grieving process, provide actionable tools to support one’s self, and give additional resources for those looking for deeper help.

Ashley Jones is a TEDx and keynote speaker with topics ranging on grief and trauma, finding gratitude in the midst of tragedy, creating cultures of caring in the corporate world, and how self-care will change yourself, your relationships with the people you love, and the world.
