Warrior Moms
Warrior Moms is a community of bereaved mothers in the Atlanta area united by the profound experience of child loss. Their members have walked through the unimaginable—losing children to accidents, illness, overdoses, and suicide. Some are newly navigating grief, while others have been on this journey for years or decades.
They share their stories to extend a compassionate hand to other grieving parents. Through their collective wisdom and experiences, they offer what they once desperately sought: the understanding that while you never "get over" the loss of a child, you can learn to carry your grief alongside moments of joy.
In their upcoming book, fourteen mothers courageously open their hearts to share personal stories of loss, survival, and finding meaning after tragedy. Their message is one of hope: though the pain of child loss never disappears, it is possible to build a meaningful life that honors both their children's memory and their own continued joy.
They stand as living testimony that even in the darkest valleys of loss, hope remains possible—and that the love for their children continues to shape their lives in meaningful ways.
The fourteen Warrior Moms include: Michele Davis, Amy Durham, Jenny Stanley, Alison Chick, Brandi Couey, Rae Ann Gruver, Christi Howard, Christine McHenry, Robyn Noe, Lisa Raber, Dele Rech, Cathy Semeria, Emily Simmons, and Joan Wasser.
